More of the Beach

Hope you're not sick of the beach pics yet because I've got a ton more! Sorry, but it was hard to pic just a "few" from the hundreds I had to choose from, but here goes.

It was really hard to photo Jackson. If you've been to the beach you know how tricky the lighting is. J was up at 4, but ready to take a nap by 8 or so when the light was good. And when we love to take pics - at sunset - he was asleep. So,we just snapped whenever we could :D

I was amazed at how much he loved playing in the sand! And he only ate it a couple of times, lol.

The boy loved his pool!

J loved crawling through the sand and had a great time at the beach

Baby handprints in the sand...

My guys!

So, you've seen pics of the guys and their fish - well, girls fish, too! I usually am aiming for whiting (good to eat) or croakers (good for the guys to throw out the bigger rods with), but by pure chance, I got a shark!!! Here's my first shark - a little black tip. Poor guy was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, but no worries, he back in the ocean safe and sound after these pics!

Every little man needs to wear his daddy's hat for a bit , right???

Have I mentioned he loved the sand ;)

He's the greatest :)

Loving the beach!

Like we've said, Baby J's fearless! Watch how he crawls into the water and it doesn't faze him. We think until it's hits hit face or knocks him over, he'll just laugh at it!!!

Beach Photos Part I

We've had a great week at the beach, and today we made it home safe and sound. We were in a more remote beach at Cape San Blas. Except for Jackson not sleeping well all week (waking up in the middle of every night, and then again between 4-5 in the morning...and not napping well!) it was perfect. We discovered that Jackson is definitely a beach baby and he is also fearless. I'll post a video later of him crawling into the ocean - not stopping at the waves or anything! He's so funny - he'd just crawl all through the sand, not caring a bit about it. So, here's some pics from the first few days:

We definitely don't travel light....stroller, ice maker, coolers, awning, umbrella - you name it, we probably had it.

Sunday was a little cloudy w/ scattered showers - here you can see one off to our east.

Since the weather was not great, and we hadn't set up camp yet, we took Jackson for a little walk, and we lulled him to sleep (until we got him to the house).

At the end of our long board walk to the beach was this sign...so how exactly were we supposed to get to the beach - we dead-ended into the dunes, lol.

Monday - Jackson's first big day at the beach! Here he's just chilling w/ daddy.

Cousin Thomas playing in the ocean.

We had a little pool for Jackson to play in and he loved it.

Like I said before - he loved the water!

Keith's shark that he caught :-)

After all that fun, who wouldn't get tired

Thomas shared his toys with J.

A good luck kiss for the fisherman ;)

Cousin Mason wants to fish, too.

I love this one!!!

Nonnie and J who's trying to crawl outta her lap!

Wes caught several Gafttop Catfish - this one's a little over 3 pounds!

Out little angel who loved playing in the water. What a great trip - we love the beach!!! More pics to follow later...

Happy Belated B'day Bro!

I must first apologize to my dear brother for being way behind in this post! I was going to include it with the post Thursday, but kinda forgot (but those are such great pics of when he was little, lol) and then at the beach couldn't... So, Happy Belated B'day, and I hope you had a great trip to Alaska - although those that know you, know you have a great time anywhere you go :D And, now that my b'day has past, we aren't the same age anymore...I guess the older we get, the more you won't want to be my age for those 5 days- haha. Glad y'all are back safe and sound and hopefully we'll celebrate our b'days together soon!

Beach pics and post are on the way...I'll probably have to do it in a couple of posts - lots of pics to show everyone :)

And We're Off - Well, Almost

Tomorrow morning, bright and early, we'll head down to the beach for a week, so we'll be outta blogland b/c I'm not sure we'll have internet...hopefully I'll survive ;-) That is, assuming I survive the 7 hour drive down with an 8 month old, who's having some really bad teething symptoms right now as teeth 4 and 5 slowly make their way in: occasional low grade fever, fussiness, slobbering everywhere, fussiness, sucking and chewing on everything (although that's an everyday occurrence here, did I mention FUSSINESS, lol. It's really not that bad, but I hate it for him b/c I know he's uncomfortable some of the time :-( And he and Wes have both been fighting off a little cold - let's hope it completely clears up with the fresh air of the beach! Hope everyone has a great week and we'll catch up w/ y'all soon!

Sincerely Fro' Me to You - He's a Harvey

This all originates at We are THAT Family's blog (check it out if you have a chance). This week I want y'all to see Jackson's pic and then look at pics of me and Noel Mark when we were younger. Tell me he doesn't have some Harvey in him! Ok, so here's a pic of the dear child yesterday. Btw - it's so hard to get the child still and get his pic these days. Almost impossible to get him still and smiling b/c he's always on the move...I'm remember Daisy's comment about him doing extreme sports one day, and it's seeming like that more and more likely each day, lol.

Now, I considered cropping the next pic, but I figured everyone should get the full effect of my lovely outfit. I think I was 3 in this pic, so that would make it....1982! aka a long time ago! See the resemblance between my child and myself? He's got my cheeks and lips I believe.

Now, I liked this one not because J and I look alike in it, but notice what I'm doing...playing in the grass (see the pics from a few posts ago). Yes, that's definitely where he gets it. The child cares nothing about dirt - and he gets it honest. Did I mention I was a tomboy.... I guess in a few years when he's making mud pies I'll be right beside him :)

All right, doesn't he look like NM here? Several of you have told me that you think he looks like him, and look at these pics - he does!!!

Ok - one more. NM may kill me for this one - but Jackson has been making this funny face for the past couple of weeks, and now I see where he gets it, lol. That scrunched up nose followed by a laugh. If I could only catch it on camera so you could see it. Thanks Uncle Noel ;-) So - does he look like us when we were little???

It's so fun to pull out and look at these old photos! I love the idea of sharing the past - some of you knew us when we were like this, and some of you are seeing it for the first time. Join in the fun!!!
