How Does Your Garden Grow
Ours is getting so big (minus the bell peppers which still look horrible!)! We still have some area to cultivate, so that is a project for tomorrow because I get off work early :D I've got some butternut squash seeds from a squash that I made for Jackson yesterday that I'm going to try to grow. And we still have a few okra that need to be thinned, so we'll see how that goes.
Look at this beautiful zucchini blossom! Now I can't wait for the zukes to come in and for us to be able to eat them. I'm getting so impatient...
The tomatoes are growing nicely. There are so many little green ones right now - I'm gonna have a ton all at once I think, so I'll be making some spaghetti sauce from fresh tomatoes this year - YUM.
Our first yellow squash - picked and ready for me to cook up tomorrow. A little olive oil and some salt and pepper is all that needs.
And a banana pepper also ready for plucking (hot not sweet). That will be yummy on fajitas that will be made sometime this week. I'm so glad that the fruit of our labor has arrived (literally). The way that produce prices has gone up related to the oil prices is crazy! Plus, it's nice to know exactly how these plants were raised and know they are pesticide free :) Speaking of crazy oil prices, check out Daisy's Gas-o-Lean challenge...she's trying to go 2 months without filling up her gas tank. Good Luck!!!

Beautiful!!!
Your veggies look GREAT! I want to make sauces, too, so we should trade recipes. I've never done it before, and I'm fishing around for some good recipes to try.
You should google "forcing" and "seeds." I don't know much about it, but I've heard that if you put seeds in the fridge for a few days, it triggers something inside seeds that haven't gone through a winter season. It might help you get better germination.
Oh you must make my zucchini cupcakes with those zuccini coming in!
What a beautiful garden!
What are zucchini cupcakes? My interest is peaked. I want a garden. Stupid house problems taking up my time!
