On October 3, Jackson turned 2! I can't believe how fast time flies by. Unfortunately, I had a conference that weekend that prevented us from celebrating his birthday that day, so we celebrated last weekend. The only tv show he will even watch 5 minutes of is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so we had a Mickey party :) The cake was so cute!
Jackson had a great time, and thankfully the weather cooperated and it finally quit raining for a day! The boys all got to play in the yard while Wes grilled burgers and hotdogs, then we had cake and ice cream for dessert. Jackson got too many gifts, and he loved everything he got!
Everyone eagerly awaited the cake while we sang happy b'day.
YUM - cake:) Jackson dug in and about ate it in one big bite, lol.
Playing around.
Playing with his new shopping cart. He loves to push anything, so this is perfect for him to run around the house with....and it doesn't make any noise when you push it, which Wes and I love! At his 2 year visit with the doctor he sat on the scale - and he's finally gained some weight!!! Thank goodness for peanut butter. He's up to 24 pounds, and finally out of the "< 5th percentile" and up to almost the 10th percentile. He's doing great. The only bad thing about the trip was that the office is out of flu shots! So we will have to go back again once they get in...whenever that may be.

Another milestone in our house these days is Luke eating real food. He's almost 7 months now, so it's been about 3 weeks of real food. So far he's had sweet potato, squash, butternut squash, carrot, and green beans. A few more dark veggies, then we'll get into the fruits. And I'm making all his food, just like I did for J (well, except for rice cereal). It's so fun and easy, and we know exactly what he's eating. And the boy loves to eat! At his 6 month visit, he weighed in at 17 pounds! Only 50th percentile (that just means there are some mommies and daddies out there w/ some sore backs!), but so much bigger than Jackson was:) Amazingly enough, he was 90th percentile for height. I hope he stays tall!

I cannot believe "baby" J is now 2. Sheesh where does the time go.
And some other little boy in your house is looking just like his daddy!!
Lastly.....summer and football season have ruined our dinners together! Hope we can get together soon.
Happy (belated) birthday,Jackson!!!
I love that you make their baby food - I'm not that good - we do buy the organic though! Brady just won't eat the vegetables - he spits them back at us!!! He is a fruit lover!
Glad you guys are doing well - pictures are great!
I cannot believe he's already two! Time flies!
Very cute cake but much cuter birthday boy! Wow! TWO!
They grow up so fast. Luke has grown and changed a lot too.
Have a wonderful weekend Heather.
This is Jennifer by the way, of Dust Bunny Hostage. Gotta love how my girls left their profile logged in (can't fuss much, I do it all of the time).
This topic is simply matchless :), it is interesting to me.
