Weekend Away

Jackson and I spent the weekend in Anniston, while Wes was at a conference down in the Big Easy. I thought it would just be much easier with Jackson to have more hands to help with him than staying at home by myself, and I'm very glad that I went! He's just such a bundle of energy and chasing him around the house and picking him up these days is getting harder and harder. And of course, the grandparents loved getting to see him! Mom tried to get him to stay still for a picture, but you see how that turned out. It was a very relaxing weekend; we went to the church fish fry Friday night, and got Jackson's haircut on Saturday, then headed back early this morning trying to beat the snow. We all made it home safe and sound :)

Jackson has toys neatly stored in a basket, but he manages to get them strewn everywhere quickly!

He always finds the books first. We read this one at least 10 times.

While we were waiting to get Jackson's haircut, we walked around outside and one of the shops next door gave Jackson this balloon. It's as big as he is!!! He loved it though and played with it the rest of the day (although I kept waiting to hear a loud pop - but I never did!). We had a great trip!
One the baby update, I'm now 36 weeks and counting! Luke has definitely dropped, so we'll see what they say at my next doctor's appt on Tuesday. And yes, I'm just gonna keep working until the little one appears :)
Hope everyone had a great weekend and is ready for the week!

How wonderful that Jackson already has a love for books!

I hope you are feeling good. You are so close to holding your baby!

Good luck, Heather! I can't believe you're going to be the mother of two so soon:)

Bella much prefers to read than anything as well (Brooklyn is another story!). I love it when kids love books so much!

Jackson is a cutie!!!

Glad to hear you are still feeling good - it won't be long now! I too worked until the day all 3 of mine were born - it just keeps my mind off the waiting!

We'll be thinking about you! Can't wait to "meet" Luke!
